A Note from Nursing
During the summer months it is important to limit your exposure to the sun, its heat, and its UV rays. It is important to stay hydrated because we lose a lot of water through sweat when overheated. When we become dehydrated that may cause electrolyte imbalances. The sun’s UV rays may cause sunburn, so if you have to spend an extensive amount of time in the sun please use sun screen to prevent sunburn. The heat can also cause a stroke. So stay cool, hydrated, and use sun screens with an SPF of 30%-40% this summer.
